I bought these Proteas a few days ago, they are South African, and specifically grow in the Cape region. In the UK we are just coming out of a very wet winter and I wanted something to lift the room. And my soul! I like the symbolism. Proteus was a Greek God who could transform at will who represented diversity and individuality, resilience and strength, transformation and adaptability, courage and hope. I think this fits the bill for what we need right now. What do you think?
